At Pillory Down Skips Ltd, we’re extremely proud of our reputation as Croydon and Surrey’s go-to for two particular services – skip hire and demolition; yet we’re still always keen to take on new clients in these areas, and for this reason we’ve looked to provide a resource should you be gearing up for a project and have a particular question.
This selection of FAQs come from Croydon clients and address both of the aforementioned core service areas of skip hire and demolition; however, you may have a completely different question you need answering… if so, just pick up the phone and call 07710 038 551. Our friendly team are time-served experts who will happily provide no obligation advice, and issue a quote should you decide to push ahead.
I don’t have space on my driveway for a skip. What can you do?
As part of our overall skip hire service, we can help you apply for a permit that will allow your skip to be placed on a public highway or footpath. These are fairly straightforward and there are few cases where Croydon clients have been denied them. They do require you to adhere to certain guidelines, e.g the provision of cones to surround the skip, and reflectors to ensure the skip can be seen at night. We’ll guide you through these requirements and ensure our skip hire service meets all relevant regulations
What happens to all the waste generated during demolition jobs?
As licenced waste carriers and skip hire veterans, we are uniquely qualified to responsibly deal with all waste accumulated during demolition jobs carried out in the Croydon area. We are environmentally minded, and look to ensure everything that can be recycled or repurposed goes through said processes.
Do I need to hire plant before your team gets to work?
No. During the initial consultation and risk assessment we will figure out exactly what type of plant will be an aid in the project at hand. We have immediate access to quality plant equipment, and handle this in-house; we believe our Croydon clients shouldn’t be forced to call multiple companies, which causes undue stress and often extra costs with skip hire and demolition.
